Pipp Sites and Pipp Stuff

Welcome to PIPP.NET.  This is a landing page for the Pipp family.  The site is repository of genealogy and site links for the Pipp family name.

There appears to be a few lines of Pipp in Europe from the 1500-1600’s.  One in Wostitz, Austria and another in Echzell, Werreraukreis, Hessen, Germany and Bürchau, Lörrach, Baden, Germany.   The first record of the German line coming to the United States is in the early 1800’s via Johann Philip Pipp and his family.  Johann was born in Echzell, Germany 1794 and died in Cincinnati, Ohio 1870.  Some of his children who came with him settled in Brighton, Michigan.  One of Johann’s sons, Heinrich Wilhelm Pipp, was born in 1831 in Echzell, Germany and died in Brighton, Michigan in 1904.  Se we can assume the Pipp’s came to the US was between 1830 and 1870’s.
